Starting from an analysis of the Constitutional Court’s rulings on end-of-life-matters, this article examines whether a “right to suicide” can be recognized within the current legal framework, characterized by the persistent absence of specific national legislation. After analysing the impact of supranational sources, the study focuses on the legal framework governing assisted suicide, evaluating the patient’s legal position and the related forms of protection.
