Info
TESeO - Trento Editions Service for Open science is the open access platform for journals and book series published by the University of Trento, based on the open-source software Open Journal Systems (OJS). The University’s editorial policies support the publication of works of scientific relevance, of high didactic value, or fostering social and cultural progress by disseminating knowledge outside the academic setting.
TESeO guarantees stable access to content over time, high online visibility through metadata compliance with the OAI-PMH protocol, citability of scholarly contributions via bibliographic identifiers (DOIs, ISSNs, ISBNs), long-term digital preservation of resources, and transparent management of the entire editorial workflow.
The TESeO platform is managed by the Scientific Publications Office with an external qualified service for hosting, software maintenance, and second-level support.
Each journal and book series is affiliated with a specific Department of the University of Trento and is directed by a member of that academic structure; each website hosted on this platform is directly managed by the technical staff of the relevant journal or book series.
The Scientific Publications Office provides support to editorial initiatives currently publishing or intending to publish on TESeO, offering the following services:
- basic website configuration and support for content and information management;
- technical staff support (first-level help desk via a dedicated email channel, and collaboration with external technicians for more complex requests);
- assignment of bibliographic identifiers via plugins (DOIs) or external procedures (ISSNs, ISBNs);
- consultancy and support for indexing requests in bibliographic, citation, and disciplinary databases;
- provision of access and download statistics.
