The essay examines the typographic production of the typographer and bookseller active in Ferrara between the fourteenth and sixteenth century Lorenzo Rossi. Thanks to new bibliographical checks, it is possible to attribute to Rossi about twenty sine notis editions, some of which hitherto completely unknown to the main bibliographic repertoires, contained in a miscellany of the Trivulziana Library of Milan. It is a series of anti-Venetian compositions related to the Battle of Polesella between Ferrara and Venice and other episodes of the Italian wars of the early sixteenth century. This makes it possible to better delineate the Rossi’s impression activity in the early sixteenth century, which until now has been considered occasional.
ER -
