Editorial. The Digital XY project

Abstract

The XYdigitale project was created to continue and expand the legacy of the journal “XY dimensioni del disegno”, bringing its work into a digital, open-access and multilingual format. The new “XY” journal is a space for dialogue between art, science, architecture, and the humanities, where visual language is not merely a tool for communication, but an active medium for invention, creative thinking, and the construction of knowledge. In an age often described as the ‘civilization of images’, “XY” offers a critical yet constructive perspective on the value of images, highlighting their ability to foster intuition, connect different fields of knowledge and open new theoretical, creative and applied horizons.
