Author Guidelines

All those participating in Palinsesti, as journal members, authors or reviewers, are required to be familiar with and share the ethical principles of COPE – Committee on Publication Ethics. 

Palinsesti accepts article proposals in Italian and English. The English version of the editorial norms is available here.

Proposals aligned with the journal’s aims and scope undergo editorial review by the issue editor and subsequently a double-blind peer review with at least one external referee.

The coordination and the introduction of each journal issue are authored by the issue editors. 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • The submission has not been previously published, it has creative and original contents, it is not before another journal for consideration and it does not infringe any third parties’ copyrights (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor). 
  • Any use of Generative AI tools in the creation of the contribution must be disclosed in the Comments to the Editor, specifying the tools used and the purpose of their use.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format. 
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Where available, DOIs or URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

Copyright Notice

Open Access Policy
Palinsesti provides immediate open access to its content, in accordance with the Open Science Policy of the University of Trento and in compliance with the DOAJ definition of Open Access. This means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or their institution.
Starting in 2026, the journal and all included articles are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution - NonCommercial - NoDerivatives 4.0 International License. This means that readers are free to download, print, copy, and redistribute the articles published in the journal, provided that appropriate credit is given, the work is not used for commercial purposes, and it is not remixed, transformed, or built upon.
Furthermore, authors are encouraged to deposit the editorial version (Version of Record) of their contribution in institutional or disciplinary repositories.

Fees
The journal does not levy any article processing charges (APCs).

Copyright Policy
Authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions. The works of art reproduced in the journal are published solely for educational and scientific purposes and on a non-profit basis, in accordance with Article 70 of the Italian Law on Copyright Protection (Law No. 633 of 22 April 1941).

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
