Abstract

The essay provides an outline of Italo Mancini’s interpretation of Rosmini. Mancini (1925-1993) was one of the most important Italian philosophers of the second half of the twentieth century. His interpretation, which focuses mainly on Rosmini’s ontology and metaphysics, reconstructs the development of Rosmini’s thought from the Nuovo Saggio to the Teosofia, identifying within it a peculiar form of ontologism, which is also critically examined in the paper.
