First of all, the article describes the role played in the years 1949-1952 by the Rosminian poet Clemente Rebora in favour of the Focolare Movement of Rovereto. It then focuses on the interpretation, given by Rebora, of Antonio Rosmini as a precursor of the new Gospel-inspired movements arising out of the pre-conciliar Catholic Church, including the Focolare Movement founded by Chiara Lubich.
