Abstract

At eighteen, while attending gymnasium, Rosmini had a first important encounter with scientific disciplines. They aroused great interest in him and led him to integrate the school’s standard study programs through further personal research in physics and mathematics. This paper deals with one aspect of this research, starting from the letters written by Rosmini to his teacher Orsi in 1815. It has the double aim of analysing the scientific skills shown by the young Rosmini and of highlighting the possible inclusion of these skills into larger interdisciplinary projects, that will later become major issues in the philosopher’s production.
