Contro la statolatria. Fabio Luzzatto e la Filosofia del diritto di Rosmini

Abstract

Fabio Luzzatto (1870-1854) was one of the twelve Italian professors who refused to take the oath of allegiance to the fascist regime in 1931, declaring that ‘it would be a lie to swear what one does not believe in’. His cultural background is linked to a strong Mazzinian and republican inspiration, but in 1899 he dedicated an interesting study to Rosmini's Philosophy of Law, in which he recognised, despite the critical accents, the philosophical and civil value of Rosmini's work.
