Abstract

The German theologian Karl Rahner develops a project of transcendental Christology aiming to improve the current understanding of Christian dogmatic tradition. The article addresses the issue by outlining the various perspectives of Rahner’s Christology and by focusing on the importance given to the transcendental approach in Überlegungen zur Methode der Theologie (1970) and Grundkurs des Glaubens.
