Abstract

Between Continuity and Originality: The Reception of Rosmini’s Thought in the Psychology of Francesco Bonatelli 

With this paper, I aim to examine the influence of Rosmini’s thought on Francesco Bonatelli, focusing on the early reflections of the philosopher of Iseo. The brief essay Sulla sensazione (1852) places itself between Rosmini’s gnoseology and Mamiani’s spiritualism; in the context of the experimental psychology, it provides some interesting suggestions about the nature of sensation, attention, intellective perception and consciousness.
