Abstract

This study aims to seek the defining trait of human nature according to Antonio Rosmini’s perspective, comparing his work Del divino nella natura [The divine in nature] with On the Eternal in Man by the phenomenologist Max Scheler. A both methodological and theoretical convergence emerges from the comparison between the two systems of thought. Scheler’s framework of thought provides a gateway to Rosmini’s thought and it is useful in order to identify the key element of Rosmini’s personalism in the «divine».
