Person and Personalistic Attitude in Husserl and Rosmini

Between Anthropology and Phenomenology

Abstract

The article distinguishes two different methods to elaborate the idea of person: Rosmini’s anthropological approach and Husserl’s phenomenological approach. It analyses and discusses the articulate description of the person proposed by both philosophers, pointing out elements of continuity and discontinuity and concluding with the main difference that consists in a metaphysical definition of person in Rosmini and a relational definition by Husserl.
