Rosmini and Giordani were two neo-guelphs, belonging to different centuries. What similarities and differences can be detected in their philosophical and political approach? The former lived in a context of reconstruction of the identity of the Church, during the liberal revolution. The second had to face fascism and totalitarianism. Their lesson cannot be forgotten, especially today, when ethical pluralism confronts us with new challenges.
