Abstract

The paper aims to enhance the relationship between Antonio Rosmini’s theosophy and the classical German philosophy. Firstly, it is emphasized that Rosmini intended philosophy as a transcendental examination of experience, directed, however, not at finding a gnoseological foundation of experience, but at outlining its objective value and ontological foundation. Although heir to the modern problem of knowledge, Rosmini, against Kant and Hegel, wants to recover the scholastic tradition, purifying it from the realistic approach.
