Abstract

The author’s intent is to explain how Antonio Rosmini uses the binomial matter-form distinction, which is of Aristotelian origin. He assesses its application in epistemological and ethical issues. With regard to the latter group, he distinguishes between the anthropological and the moral use of such distinction. The author also discusses some Nietzschean and Kantian ideas as they appear in the light of Rosmini’s position.
