The Miracle in Rosmini

Abstract

The reflections Rosmini dedicates to miracle are rare and widely disseminated in his works. Even in the absence of a systematic and dedicated discussion, accurate lines of a Miracle Theology can be detected, which can be reconstructed through numerous textual loci (above all in the Epistolary). What emerges is a conception, elaborated under the sign of a supreme prudence and in compliance with the balances of the divine economy of the world government and of grace, of the dense interweaving of the relations between Nature and the Supernatural and the ordinary and extraordinary occurrence of phenomena where Rosmini guarantees a transversal space to miracle, admitting its possibility in both the natural and supernatural order.
