The article aims to analyse the interpretation of Martin Heidegger proposed by the philosopher Alberto Caracciolo. In particular, the essay focuses on the ethical-religious reception of Heideggerian philosophy, with special regard to Alberto Caracciolo’s overall philosophical proposal. As outlined in his 1989 comprehensive volume, Studi heideggeriani, Caracciolo never ceased to dialogue with the German philosopher, but rather interpreted him as a classic of the religious thinking in contemporary times, i.e. of the age of nihilism. This allows the interpreter to investigate, also in a kulturgeschichtlich direction, the significance of the Heideggerian reception in Alberto Caracciolo’s ethical-religious Denkweg.
