The deadline for submissions is September 13th, 2026 (23:59 CEST).
The Board of the Review encourages submissions from legal scholars, practitioners, and students on any topic of interest to the legal community. Authors are invited to submit papers through the Review's Open Journal System platform.
Selection process. The selection is not first-come, first-served. All submissions received by the deadline will be considered comparatively on the basis of formal compliance, scientific quality, and the Review's editorial planning. Please follow the submission process at this link.
About the Review
The Trento Student Law Review (ISSN 2612-4874) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access, online-only law journal, entirely student-run and student-edited, established at the Faculty of Law of the University of Trento. The Review publishes biannually articles both in English and Italian. Manuscripts are subject to a double-blind peer review, after a preliminary scrutiny.
Submission Requirements
The Trento Student Law Review accepts legal articles:
- in Italian or English;
- with a length of 5,000 to 20,000 words (including footnotes);
- including an abstract (150-300 words) and 5 keywords; for English-language articles, both must be in English; for Italian-language articles, both Italian and English versions must be provided;
- complying with anonymity precautions - the body of the manuscript must not contain any identification of the author(s) or their institutional affiliation;
- in Microsoft Word (.docx) or Apache OpenOffice (.odt). Find the paper format template here;
- transparently disclosing any use of generative AI tools (purpose and scope) on the separate cover page/acknowledgements and/or in comments to the editor. Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors; authors remain fully responsible for the manuscript and for verifying all cited sources.
Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this Review.
Submitted articles will undergo a double-blind peer review process, as detailed here.
