Topics and History
I LIBRI DI XY
The series was founded in 1992 by Officina Edizioni to collect research that concerns the issues of drawing, visual language and graphic sciences, in a broad cultural field. It offers essays aimed at exploring the problems of architecture, city and the landscape representation, and at investigating the countless dimensions of the image in science, technology and art.
The series joins the XY journal broadening and consolidating its thematic horizons, especially in its interdisciplinary aspects, in the belief that the best tool for deepening knowledge is the smart comparison of different knowledge. It welcomes monographic volumes, essays or high scientific value miscellanies collections in the traditional printed format, published in the chosen language by the author with an English abstract (5-10% of the full volume).
Since 2019 the series is co-edited with the Università degli Studi di Trento publishing house. It is joined by the open access series I libri digitali di XY. Since 2022 the two series I libri di XY and I libri digitali di XY are co-edited by Università degli Studi di Trento and Il Poligrafo publishing house.
