About the Journal

XY. Studies on the representation of architecture and the use of the image in science and art (p-ISSN 2499-8338, up to 2020; e-ISSN 2499-8346) is an annual scientific journal (area 08 ‘Civil Engineering and Architecture’) which promotes research on the role of figurative expression as a tool for the construction and communication of knowledge. The journal was founded in 1986 and was co-published by the University of Trento and Officina Edizioni from 2016 to 2020. Since 2021 it has been published by the University of Trento in open access digital format. It adopts a ‘double-blind’ evaluation process for proposals entrusted to a Scientific Review Committee distinct from the Scientific Committee.
