Articles
The selection of texts for publication follows exclusively criteria of originality, scientific quality, clarity, argumentative accuracy and relevance of the content. CLL considers for publication original and unpublished works. Upon submission, authors shall declare that their manuscript is entirely original and that all text and sources utilized have been quoted in the text.
The EB could also decide to publish contributions deriving from a paper book series or previously published in foreign reviews not freely accessible in Italy. Articles or essays already published in online Reviews or websites will not be considered for publication.
CLL welcomes submissions that were published as working papers, provided that the paper was substantially revised prior to submission to CLL. Authors shall inform the EB that the submission was published before as a working paper, failing which the submission may be identified as a case of plagiarism which results in the immediate rejection of the paper. If the submission is accepted for publication, authors must commit to replacing the working paper on all platforms where it appears with the final version of the paper, with mention that the paper is forthcoming, or was published, in CLL.
Authors publishing with CLL are encouraged to register for an ORCID iD.
Proper acknowledgement of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work and should cite them in adherence to the Journal editorial guidelines.
Authorship should be properly assigned; all those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study should be listed as co-authors.
All authors should disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the EB and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.
If a manuscript is not accepted, the EB members shall be ready to explain their choice to the author. In no event shall a member of the EB evaluate a manuscript with regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origins, citizenship, political (but also scientific or academic) orientation of the author.
