This essay aims to prove that the fundamental concepts of Moretti-Costanzi’s reform of Carabellese’s thought are all directly linked to the revival of some of the central tenets and insights of Rosmini’s thought. The emendations to Carabellesian ontologism made by Moretti-Costanzi were indeed Rosminian in their Christological and sophic tone. And even Moretti’s identification of Christianity with philosophy, which is a feature of all his mature thought, can be attributed to his fidelity to the inspiration of Rosmini, which he went on to develop, incorporating the influence of Bonaventura.
