Guilt and Atonement: The Philosophical Christology of Luigi Pareyson
This paper aims to analyze the considerations of Luigi Pareyson on the Christological question, which has been developed by him in relation to the problem of evil and suffering. Pareyson’s hermeneutical point of view offers an interpretation of Christendom as a radical expiatory compassion and proposes, through the saving work of Christ, a conception of suffering as authentic place of the solidarity between God and man.
