The article aims to show some significant parallels between the phenomenology of Renato Lazzarini and Antonio Rosmini’s philosophy. Its field of enquiry is restricted to the gnoseological sphere and revolves around the notions of ‘intentionality’ and ‘intuition’. The analysis of the cognitive act will allow us to grasp the particularity of each position, but also to highlight those common elements that are the basis of their shared openness to the metaphysical instance.
