The paper examines Rosmini’s epistemological reflection as it is developed in Book II of the Antropologia in servizio della scienza morale (1838, 18472). It focuses its attention on the principle of the physiological-pathological parallelism between 'sentient subject’ and 'felt thing'; this principle is designed by Rosmini as 'the rector principle’ of a therapeutic ethics able to guide XIXth Century medical science towards an effective therapeutic approach to the diseases of the human body.
