Abstract

The article offers a very extensive historical review of the studies on one of the most neglected (and therefore less known) aspects of Rosmini’s thought, i.e. his economic doctrine. After the first phase of the nineteenth-century reception of the Rosminian writings on the subject, only two sketches are to be judged as noteworthy: Zoppi (1897) and Piovani (1957). Only recently, some studies have analyzed in depth and in a comprehensive way the economic thought of Rosmini, finding in it unexpectedly actual insights.
