Abstract

This article discusses the theme of the smile, starting from the analysis proposed by Antonio Rosmini in the work entitled Del principio supremo della Metodica e di alcune sue applicazioni in servigio dell’umana educazione, composed between 1839 and 1840 and left unfinished. In fact, drawing inspiration from the pages that Rosmini dedicates to this question, it was possible to weave a fruitful comparison with other pedagogical-philosophical and psychological reflections, touching on disciplines such as ontogeny and ethology.
