Questo articolo prende in esame il saggio H.P. Lovecraft. Contro il mondo, contro la vita di Michel Houellebecq. Attraverso un confronto con le fonti sullo scrittore statunitense, l’articolo mostra come ci sia stata, da parte di Houellebecq, una deliberata forzatura di alcuni elementi della biografia di Lovecraft in modo da fare di quest’ultimo insieme un personaggio simile a quelli che popolano la prima narrativa dello scrittore francese, e un modello di stile.
